Thank you for your interest in the SCVS Top Gun Program. This exciting competition, that includes dinner during the final round, provides an opportunity for 2nd year/senior Fellows to fine-tune their surgical skills in a safe, simulated environment. The program will take place as part of the SCVS Annual Symposium, which will be held March 14-17, 2012 at the Encore at Wynn Las Vegas Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. The first rounds of competition will take place in the exhibit hall on Wednesday and Thursday (March 14th and 15th) with the final round taking place during dinner on Thursday evening (March 15th). Admission to the SCVS Top Gun Program will include complimentary meeting registration to attend the 2012 SCVS Annual Symposium (including all social functions). Please follow the steps below to be approved and register for the program.

ELIGIBILITY & SELECTION
The program is open to 2nd year fellows in a designated vascular fellowship program. Interested Fellows must provide their full contact information. In 2012, the program is open to a maximum of 50 participants. Admission to the program will be based on: completeness of application and order received. Priority will be given to represent as many different programs as possible, so it is likely there will not be 2 Fellows accepted from the same program. Fellows selected for the program will be notified via email, and via notices in their 2012 SCVS Annual Symposium registration packets.

SCVS VASCULAR TOP GUN PROGRAM SPECIFICS
The competition incorporates 2 areas of medical simulation performance with participants evaluated on the basis of their skills. During the First Round of competition all participants will be confronted with the same cases for simulation. Each participant will be enrolled for a session on each simulator, and must complete the simulator work prior to 5:00 pm on Thursday, March 15th. Simulator slots will be assigned upon registration for the competition. Four semi-finalists (2 open and 2 endo) will proceed to the Final Round. The Final Round will be held on Thursday evening, March 15th (includes dinner) from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. Each Final Round participant will be confronted with the same new cases and evaluated by a panel of SCVS judges. The overall winner of the Final Round will receive an iPad.
